Rodney W. Tussing our friend, colleague, and brother, after a mighty fight, succumbed to cancer August 14, 2019. He was an encourager, a thinker, a wise man, and deeply committed to the Good.
Rod had a successful career in Engineering and then went back to school and received an M.A. in Theology, an M.A. in Religious Studies, and a Ph.D. In Philosophical Theology.
Rod was a Philosophy and Religious Studies professor at Paradise Valley Community College, Arizona State University, and Grand Canyon University.
Rod is the author of Religion and Science: Deconstructing a Modern Paradigm (2019). He served as a Clarity Fund Research Fellow. He was a champion of Public Philosophy and was on the board of the Public Philosophy Press, Public Philosophy Society, and Journal of Public Philosophy.
Rod affirmed the clarity of general revelation and was dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge of God. He will be missed dearly, but his work will continue.
